Leading Change: What Works and What Doesn’t

“𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛 𝗘𝗡𝗗, 𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣”

I have been following several comment strings as part of the Association of Change Management Professionals.

Many ask for guidance on tips for leaders tasked with leading change or personal development tools for those change management roles.

My input to those discussions is always the same.

You cannot edict, mandate, bully, policy, procedure, or muscle your way to effective change.

Tools and software will help you manage the project steps but not the people side of change.

Effective change management requires leaders to recognize, acknowledge, and engage in the emotion of change.

Effective change management processes bridge the gap between the science of change models and the implementation of change approaches many consults attempt to sell you.
