The 3 Cultural Circles of Leadership

Change management is most often thought of in terms of systems or processes.

This belief leads organizations to search for the perfect solutions to the given situations, and once that perfect solution is implemented, the business will perform better.

If that were true, why do 75% of change initiatives fail?

According to a McKinsey study, 70% of those failures result from “human issues.”

Unfortunately, there is an enormous individual/emotional component to change that is often overlooked or underestimated by leaders.

As Jeanie Coomber and I discussed in a recent interview, navigating the emotions of personal and organizational change requires a different kind of leadership culture.

Are the three leadership elements discussed in the interview present in your organization, function, or team?

If not, you will fall prey to the statistics.
