When “Fine” Is Not “Fine”-How To Engage Your Employees

This scenario is playing out with first responders and nurses of all types, including those working in Hospice.

The boss asks a leader how their people are doing, how they are holding up under the strain of recent COVID spikes. The leader responds by saying, “My people are good. I ask them in every meeting, and they say they are fine.”

The fact is that studies by The Grief Recovery Institute have shown that as many as 25% of people are suffering from some form of emotional trauma significant enough to cause them to grieve. That number is likely even higher in this scenario.

By the way, the tips contained in this video apply to all leaders and all environments.
